JEANNE DORE

Paris-based writer and editor Jeanne Doré co-founded the website AuParfum with Dominique Brunel in 2007. The go-to French site for perfume aficionados, AuParfum gathers and publishes perfume criticism, news, reportages and community on all scent-related topics.

In 2016 Doré co-founded Nez, La Revue Olfactive (in association with Editions Le Contrepoint). She currently serves as editor-in-chief for the magazine, and since 2017 has overseen its publication into English.

In May 2017 she co-wrote 'Les Cent Onze Parfums Qu'il Faut Sentir Avant de Mourir' (éd. Le Contrepoint). This book is an anthology of the perfumes that count, each one in their own particular way, towards the greater history of modern perfumery.

Jeanne has greatly contributed to the democratization of perfume criticism in France, and has deftly navigated Nez into its current role as an important actor in the international olfactive cultural movement.

2019 marks the second year of Jeanne Doré's participation as a judge at the Art and Olfaction Awards. She will judge the second round in the artisan and independent category.
