Scent Culture Institute is Claus Noppeney and a group of researchers and cultural producers in Switzerland with strong ties to the Business and Design department at Bern University of Applied Sciences. We work on smelling in culture, business & society and offer thought leadership in an increasingly experiential & aesthetic economy. Western culture & society will only develop further, if it turns scent into a stimulus for critical reflection – not an invitation for hypnosis. This has been the premise for Scent Culture Institute since its beginning in 2014.

SCI and AOA have teamed up since 2014 to collect and analyze the submissions and judging data, for academic purposes as well as a further developments.
