On March 23 at 1pm (CET) we will announce the shortlisted perfumes and experimental projects with scent for the fourth annual Art and Olfaction Awards in a special presentation at Esxence, in Milan. The announcement will be made by some of our partners and judges: Luca Turin, Helder Suffenplan, Adam Eastwood and Franco Wright, Antonio Gardoni, Christophe Laudamiel and Saskia Wilson-Brown.
That's a wrap! Submissions for the 4th annual Art and Olfaction Awards are officially closed.
With a marked increase in submissions this year, the 2017 Awards will present a stellar group of perfumers and creative practitioners with scent.
As is our custom, we will post participation statistics within the coming week. In the meantime, our big thanks to all the perfumers and artists who decided to participate, and a massive thanks (in advance!) to our devoted group of judges.
Submissions for the fourth annual awards open at 9am PST, Wednesday October 6, 2016. The online submission form closes on 11:59pm PST, Monday November 28, 2016, with a grace period of two weeks to get the perfume to us in the mail.
Updated rules, and instructions will be posted online very soon, but read on to learn a bit more about the what, where, how of the next iteration of the awards.
It’s no big mystery that running the Art and Olfaction Awards is not an easy task. We’re a very small non-profit, with an unpaid 'staff' of one person (me!) supported by a tiny but powerful board of directors, as well as our team of judges, our friends-slash-volunteers, our past participants, and our partners. The awards themselves were only founded a few short years ago in 2014. As far as these things go, we’re still a tiny baby. And, like tiny babies you have known and loved, we’re learning as we go along.
