3 Days Left: Learn About our Rules

Seventy-two hours to go before submissions close, and our minds turn to the many things one might accomplish in three days:

Unclear about the rules for the competition? Allow us to restate them here.

RULES: ARTISAN & INDEPENDENT CATEGORIES
  • We accept submissions for consideration from all countries.
  • Entries for the 2015 Artisan and Independent Award categories must have been made available for sale to the public between the dates of Jan 1, 2014 and Dec 31, 2014.
  • There is a maximum amount of 2 (two) entries in each category per perfume house, artisan perfumer or artist that can be submitted for the award.
  • We require a short creative brief for each perfume submitted. Please do not mention the name of the perfume, company or perfumer in the brief.
  • The entry fee is $45.00 per submission. This entry fee covers administration costs, storage costs, and transportation costs.
  • We accept submissions in generic vials with a minimum quantity of 1 dram (or an equivalent amount, if you reside outside of the United States and do not use drams). We require four of them for each scent submitted.
RULES: EXPERIMENTAL CATEGORY
  • We accept submissions for consideration from all countries.
  • Entries for the 2015 Experimental category must have appeared publicly in some way between Jan 1, 2014 and Dec 31, 2014.
  • There is a maximum amount of 2 (two) project entries in each category per artist, perfumer or collaborative that can be submitted for the award.
    • IMPORTANT NOTE: We consider one project to be equivalent to one entry. We are cognizant that – in the Experimental category – one project may incorporate several scents.
  • We require a project description for each project submitted.
  • For the Experimental category we allow two pieces of supporting media (image, song, video)  in addition to the project description.
